Terms of Service

By accessing or using MacroLedger ("the Service") at macroledger.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, free users, and paying subscribers.

MacroLedger is a web-based platform that allows users to search, visualize, and share macroeconomic data sourced from the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database. We offer both free and paid subscription plans.

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Free plan: Free users may create up to 3 dashboards and access core features at no charge.

Pro plan: Paid subscribers gain access to additional features including unlimited dashboards, email alerts, PNG exports, and chart annotations. Billing is handled by Stripe and is charged on a monthly or annual basis.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

You agree not to use MacroLedger to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service in a way that burdens our infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Distribute malware or harmful code through shared dashboards

Your content: You retain ownership of the dashboards and configurations you create. By using the Service, you grant MacroLedger a limited license to store and display your content solely to operate the Service.

FRED data: Economic data displayed in MacroLedger is sourced from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) and is subject to their terms of use. This data is public and not owned by MacroLedger.

Shared dashboards: When you generate a public share link, your dashboard becomes viewable by anyone with the link. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

The MacroLedger name, logo, design, and software are owned by MacroLedger and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding without express written permission.

MacroLedger is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of economic data displayed on the platform — all data is sourced from FRED and may have delays or errors.

Nothing on MacroLedger constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice. Use data for informational and research purposes only.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacroLedger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the applicable courts.
