MacroLedger ("we", "us", or "our") operates macroledger.co. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use MacroLedger, including dashboards you create, indicators you add, and share links you generate.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details — only a Stripe customer ID linked to your account.

Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, cookieless data about page views and traffic. No personal identifiers are collected.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the MacroLedger service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails such as password resets and billing confirmations
• Improve and develop new features
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in (policies.google.com/privacy)
• FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis) — public economic data source
• Vercel — hosting and analytics (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. payment records).

MacroLedger uses a single local storage item to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our analytics provider (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of any sale of your data. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and the right to data portability. MacroLedger is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
